The short version
- Supermarket own-brand is still cheapest per sheet. Aldi Saxon Standard Toilet Paper works out at 9.4p per 100 sheets.
- Eco boxes beat Andrex and Cushelle per sheet when you buy the big box. The best eco option (22.9p) undercuts the cheapest Andrex (28.5p) and Cushelle (30.2p) we found at Tesco – and eco sheets are 3-ply.
- Small eco orders are poor value. Delivery on a small box can add around 9p per 100 sheets (£3.95 on a 12-roll Cheeky Panda box). Buy the biggest box you can store, or subscribe.
